**The candidate will need to come onsite on thefirst day to collect equipment.**
**All candidates must be local to the Triangleregion of North Carolina and posting may require up to 12 days per month in aTriangle area office for meetings.**
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible forsuccessfully planning organizing and motivatingdiverse project teams throughout all phases of Waterfall Agile andHybrid projects and for delivering projects that provideexceptional value to DITT s internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate vendors and consultants and agency IT and business staff asassigned in the execution of IT projects and related procurements.
Coordinate and oversee the development of proposals statement of workstatement of requirements and RFP responses.
Assist management in holding teams accountable for their commitments andremoving roadblocks to their work.
Facilitate multidisciplinary teams in the development of plans goals objectivespolicies and procedures for completion of a project.
Oversee and manage execution and/or coordination ofdaytoday project activities as required.
Manage working relationships with key stakeholders including vendors suppliersand technology management.
Set project goals that are consistent with technical objectives andthe agency s overall technology strategy.
Track and communicate a projects progress from a schedule cost andrisk perspective to the project team customers and project stakeholders.
Collaborate with technology leads and solution architects to incorporateagency best practices into project plans.
Drive consistent project delivery through theentire project lifecycle including execution of procurementsdefinition of project plans resourceallocation management of project risks scope and scheduledelivery of value and wellordered transitions to operations.
Monitor progress by thirdparty vendors and define and measure their progresswith metrics.
Develop and maintain project budget plans task lists schedulesrisks and status to include resource allocation and schedules.
Adhere to agency and SDLC project management practices andgovernance requirements.
Exhibit significant emotional quotient (EQ) inhandling project challenges and maintain apositive project culture in line with agency mission and sharedvalues.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong experience leading the business and IT resources through the discoveryand documentation of business and technical requirements in request forproposal and statement of requirement formats.
Strong analytical organizational and decisionmaking skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating and team building.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstratedability to simplify and briefly succinctly communicate complex issues tomultiple audiences.
Ability to lead others to implement new approaches systems structures andmethods.
Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.
Ability to analyze and document system processes.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models.
Exceptional knowledge of both Agile andWaterfall project management principles and practices. Inaddition the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit aparticular project and business environment.
Experience with the ServiceNow platform.
Experience with projects hosted in a cloud environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years ofexperience managing large IT Web development projects.
Fluency in Project Management tools such asMicrosoft Project Visio and Office required.
PMP Certification through PMI
Experience with Project Management Office methodologies andpractices is strongly preferred.
Experience with the core IT procurement processes (RFP SOW) is preferred.
Full Time
