Job Description Position Overview
We are looking for a detailoriented and methodical Manual QA Tester to join our team. As a Manual QA Tester you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by identifying bugs inconsistencies and areas for improvement through rigorous testing. This role is essential for delivering a flawless user experience to our customers.
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Analyze requirements specifications and technical design documents to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Execute test cases across various platforms and devices to ensure software quality.
- Defect Reporting and Management:
- Identify document and track bugs using bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira Bugzilla).
- Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and ensure they are resolved.
- Validation:
- Perform regression functional usability and exploratory testing.
- Verify fixes and perform postrelease/postimplementation testing.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the product design and development teams to understand product requirements and align on quality standards.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases test results and testing processes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest and implement improvements to testing workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in manual software testing with knowledge of QA methodologies tools and processes.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Experience in writing clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of SQL and ability to perform database testing.
- Basic understanding of automation tools and scripting is a plus.
- Experience with testing APIs using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with mobile and crossbrowser testing.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
