Job Description
Job Title: Registered Optician / Opticien dordonnance
Location: Montreal SaintLaurent (Onsite)
Position Type: Temporary
Shift Time: Flexible (37.5 hours per week employee creates their own schedule)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Maternity leave coverage approximately 9 months (subject to change)
Job Description:
As a Registered Optician you will manage the local vision health program providing exceptional care and expertise to employees. Your responsibilities will include recommending lenses taking measurements placing orders via WINK (PMS) following up with labs ensuring vision adjustments managing rework and liaising with the marketing team for product updates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recommend lenses based on individual employee needs.
- Take precise measurements to ensure optimal fit and quality performance.
- Process glass orders via WINK (PMS).
- Follow up with the laboratory for orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Deliver completed glasses check vision and make necessary adjustments.
- Manage rework as needed.
- Act as the primary contact for WINK with other team members across Canada.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to stay informed of new products and ensure sales materials are up to date.
- Offer flexible schedules including early morning shifts (for night employees) and latenight shifts (for evening employees).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.
Additional Information:
- The client offers a high degree of flexibility with scheduling as long as 37.5 hours per week are worked. The optician should be available for day afternoon and night shifts.
- Example shifts:
- Early shift (5 AM 2 PM) to cover both night and day shifts.
- Standard shift (9 AM 5 PM) or late shift (5 PM midnight).
- Option to take a day off by working longer hours on other days.
Requirements:
- Registered Optician (Opticien dordonnance) with a valid optician registration number.
- Experience with vision health programs and working knowledge of WINK (PMS) or similar systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and marketing.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate various shifts.
