Job
Summary

The engineer will serve as Shift
Incharge, managing manpower and shift operations. They will conduct shift meetings,
maintain 5S standards, allocate tasks, handle handovers, monitor production,
plan changeovers, and keep training records.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility of CNC
Machine Shop

Quality and Quantity responsibility
of CNC Machine Shop.

Detailed
Responsibilities:

Set Up Change and related
approvals from Support Functions.

Work planning & execution
as per daily work management

Achieving set targets of
productivity & quality

Hourly production sheet
monitoring

Planning of changeovers

Allocation of work
distribution based on skill matrix.

Knowledge of improvement activities like kaizen, SWC (Standard
Work Chart).

Maintain 5's

Knowledge of SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) Process.

Report problems or concerns
with quality, process, equipment, material and labor to production Manager

Handover from previous shift

Maintaining training records
& skill matrix

Daily /ShiftWise review of
the RAW material inventory

To achieve both daily & monthly
target

Meeting the delivery
schedules.

Effective Man, Machine and
material management

ISO-TS 16949 related
activities

ERP related activities

Production data punching in
system as per PPC

Authorities

Oversee the entire production process to ensure efficiency
and quality.

Develop and implement production schedules.

Supervise and mentor production staff.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Optimize production processes to improve efficiency.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile
Requirements

Personal Background: -

Should have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Have prior work experience of Minimum 4-6 years in CNC
Setup of an Automobile Industry.

Skills

Sound Knowledge of CNC Programming

Sound Knowledge of GD&T

Programming and tooling knowledge

Basic computer knowledge

Manufacturing process knowledge
