Job Description
The Maintenance Office is seeking AdvancedLevel Maintenance Supervisors with the expertise training and leadership skills to oversee maintenance operations and supervise a team of up to five inmates. This position requires a high level of responsibility including ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise up to five (5) inmates during maintenance tasks ensuring safety efficiency and adherence to guidelines.
- Perform advanced maintenance tasks and provide technical expertise to the team.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Plan delegate and oversee daily maintenance operations to meet organizational goals.
- Drive and operate commercial vehicles with air brakes as required for maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities equipment usage and inmate performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members management and other departments using cell phone and other designated methods.
- Wear a uniform identifying the supervisory role and serve as the primary point of contact during maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Certification: Must be a statecertified correction officer.
- Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a correction officer.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience driving a commercial vehicle.
- License: Valid Class B Drivers License with air brake endorsement.
- Certification: Advanced Level Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting standing and working in various environmental conditions.
