Job Description
The Country Finance Director will lead the Foodora Finnish finance team and is responsible for overseeing all financial activities ensuring the alignment of the countrys financial goals with the organizations strategic objectives. This role includes overseeing budgeting forecasting financial planning and analysis regulatory compliance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategic Planning
Lead the development and execution of the countrys financial strategy ensuring alignment with the organizations overall objectives.
Act as a key advisor to the local leadership team providing insights on financial performance and strategic direction.
Budgeting Forecasting & Financial Analysis
Oversee the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process ensuring alignment with country and corporate goals.
Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Present financial insights and reports to local leadership and key stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with local regional and global financial regulations tax policies and legal requirements.
Lead external audits ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Financial Operations & Control
Oversee financial operations including accounting payroll treasury and cash flow management.
Continuously improve financial processes and systems to increase operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
People Management & Team Development
Lead and mentor the finance team fostering a culture of excellence accountability and continuous improvement.
Provide professional development opportunities for finance team members building a strong and capable workforce.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including auditors and government bodies.
Represent the finance function in discussions with business functions providing insights to support decisionmaking.
Key Competencies
Proven leadership and decisionmaking skills in a fastpaced environment.
Ability to work crossfunctionally and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
Strong understanding of financial regulations accounting principles and corporate finance.
Effective communication and presentation skills for engaging with executive leadership and external partners.
Qualifications :
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field; CPA certification strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior finance roles preferably with experience as a Finance Director/CFO or similar position within a complex organization.
Skills: Strong financial acumen strategic thinking and analytical skills.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with financial systems (ERP) advanced Excel skills and familiarity with digital finance tools.
Language: English
