This is the perfect opportunity for a qualified Procurement Lawyer to join a truly global team in an autonomous role with responsibility for establishing efficient processes and procedures for the governance and oversight of the legal teams engagement in procurement matters as well as handling legal matters and providing specialized legal advice in relation to the IFS Groups procurement initiatives.
The suitable candidate will demonstrate professional acumen diligence and initiative as it will be crucial that the candidate proactively manage tasks and liaise with relevant internal departments to identify needs respond to requests and ensure compliance in a timely manner. The candidate will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with our international procurement team and other functions across the Group. The ideal candidate will have expertise in contract law related procurement regulations compliance and risk management including deep understanding of privacy laws data management and AI related laws and regulations to support the organizations sourcing contracting and vendor management activities. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement policies contract negotiations and legal compliance to ensure the companys procurement activities align with legal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Support: Provide expert legal advice on procurement contracts tenders and agreements to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as internal policies.
Contract Drafting & Review: Draft negotiate and review procurementrelated contracts including vendor agreements supply contracts servicelevel agreements (SLAs) and nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) including the creation of standardized templates as required.
Compliance: Ensure the organizations procurement activities comply with local national and international procurement laws including antibribery anticorruption and fair competition rules.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks in procurement activities advising internal stakeholders on best practices for vendor selection contracting and management.
Privacy and data management: Identify risks in regards of privacy data management and AI related to procurement initiatives and be able to advise on detailed privacy aspects as it relates to procurement matters. Support in data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy and data handling related assessments.
Policy and process Development: Assist in the development implementation and continuous improvement of internal procurement policies and procedures and lead efforts to introduce thresholds for legal engagement.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement teams finance and business units to provide guidance on legal aspects of procurement strategies and vendor relationships.
Training & Education: Prepare and deliver training to procurement and contract management teams to ensure awareness of legal risks compliance requirements processes and best practices.
Due Diligence: Support in the legal due diligence process of suppliers and vendors to assess risk and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Market Monitoring: Keep up to date with changes in procurement law regulatory developments and market practices advising the organization on necessary legal adaptations.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
Education: LL.B degree or bachelors degree in business administration
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a procurement lawyer or in a related field with a strong focus on contract law procurement regulations and commercial agreements
Technical skills:
Expertise in procurement regulations contract drafting and negotiation
Deep understanding of privacy and data management related laws and regulations in an international context. Experience of conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy and data handling related assessments
Strong knowledge of compliance laws (e.g. antibribery anticorruption)
Advance IT skills including Excel
