Job Description
Your Career
The Data Center Operations Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance reliability and efficiency of our data center infrastructure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Your Impact
- Work closely and in full coordination with the DevOps team to provide followthesun operational coverage in the production of our SaaS product
- Build automated tools for cloud operations such as automated remediation of known issues autoscaling etc.
- Work with our Engineering team and influence the operability of the product
- Work with the HQbased DevOps team for knowledge and tools sharing
- Write automation code and build tools to integrate multiple onpremise private and public cloud services
- Mentor and champion SRE culture
- Participate in design reviews
- Participate with SRE and Dev teams in the oncall rotation
- You will take full endtoend responsibility for the production environment of our SaaS product deployed on GCP
- You will build tools for automatic remediation of known issues
- You will develop Infrastructureascode which will be used to orchestrate production and dev environments
- You will design build maintain and scale production services with thousands of Kubernetes clusters
- Onsite and Remote site data center server Break/fix
- Troubleshooting OS hardware components
- Server Installation Rack n stack cabling
- Decommission Repurpose servers in our data centers
- Hardware Replacement Ordering RMA
- Inventory Management (DCIM)
- Shipping/Receiving
Qualifications :
Your Experience
- 4 years experience as a DevOps/SRE engineer with a passion for technology and strong motivation and responsibility for high reliability and service level
- Ability to operate independently make decisions take action and take responsibility
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills ability to work and coordinate between multiple teams
- High proficiency in scripting Shell scripts Python or Go preferred
- High proficiency with Linux
- High proficiency with containerized environments (Kubernetes and Docker)
- Ability to grasp new technologies quickly and prioritize and multitask on multiple responsibilities
- BS or MS in Computer Science a related field or equivalent professional experience or equivalent military experience required
Desired Experience
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform operations
- Proficiency with Prometheus and other cloud native monitoring solutions
- Proficiency with CI/CD and Configuration Management
- Experience with Ansible and/or Terraform
- CentOS Ubuntu and Windows Patching
Additional Information :
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications experience and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level the starting base salary (for nonsales roles) or base salary commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $126000/yr to $203500/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
