We are seeking an experienced Associate Director for Planning & Scheduling to join our busy and expanding infrastructure team who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several highprofile Infrastructure and Defence Projects/Programmes.
This role is predominantly based in the North with some regional travel required and we would welcome applicants based across Yorkshire Northwest Northeast and Scotland.
Additionally you will have the opportunity to work as part of our senior leadership team driving innovation collaboration and learning from our experienced and awardwinning Cost Control community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and delegating activities of the Planning and Scheduling team on complex projects or programmes.
- Communicating with Senior Management / Stakeholders to deliver updates.
- Briefing the team on the project scope to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood.
- Developing and maintaining leadership relationships with interfacing disciplines.
- Line management activities including career development and performance management.
- Continuous improvement in Planning and Scheduling (and interfacing project controls) processes to create efficiency and increasing benefits to our clients.
- The implementation embedding and rollout of any identified changes to Planning and Scheduling processes.
- The benefits and requirements of Planning and Scheduling within the project and programme team.
- Subject Matter Expertise.
- Expert analysis to relevant stakeholders and senior management supporting effective decision making.
- Training and coaching to clients and less experienced team members on Planning and Scheduling processes and practices.
- T&Ts recruitment activities to grow and develop the project controls capability.
- The national and regional Planning and Scheduling communities including Community of Practice.

Qualifications
- Experience in Planning and Scheduling on complex projects/programmes is essential.
- Experience of interfacing with other Project Controls disciplines is essential.
- Experience in leading Planning and Scheduling teams is essential.
- Practical experience of Planning and Scheduling demonstrating the use of more than one standard scheduling tool is essential.
- The ability to work in both delivery and transformation projects is desirable.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts is desirable.
- For Defence specific requirements individuals must be sole UK National; currently holding or have the ability to get SC Clearance
