Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager you will:

  • Manage healthcare or hospital facility construction projects through all phases from planning and design to construction and closeout.
  • Oversee individual tasks throughout the design and construction process including the submittal and RFI processes while addressing the unique needs of healthcare facilities.
  • Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure compliance with healthcarespecific building codes safety regulations and operational requirements.
  • Facilitate project meetings document minutes and action items and ensure timely resolution of key issues.
  • Administer project closeout specifications ensuring all healthcarespecific commissioning and turnover documentation is completed and delivered.
  • Manage submittal approvals RFI processing change orders and punchlist closeout tasks specific to healthcare projects.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams contractors and healthcare stakeholders including administrators facility managers and clinical staff.
  • Participate in commissioning activities to ensure the operational readiness of healthcare facilities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within the healthcare sector.

Client Relationship Management

  • Foster strong partnerships with healthcare clients understanding their specific goals and operational challenges.
  • Balance the needs of diverse stakeholders including hospital administrators contractors and facility operators.
  • Contribute to securing new healthcarerelated business opportunities.

Teamwork

  • Lead project teams ensuring effective collaboration across multidisciplinary groups.
  • Provide guidance coaching and support to team members leveraging your expertise in healthcare facility construction.
  • Motivate and inspire the team with a clear project vision and goals tailored to the healthcare environment.

Qualifications :

  • PMP certification and P.Eng designation (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management including substantial experience in healthcare or hospital facility projects.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture Construction Management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare facility construction standards including infection control protocols patient safety requirements and operational readiness practices.
  • Proven experience managing real property construction projects ideally within the Ottawa market.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and Project or P6.
  • Strong analytical and technological skills with familiarity with webbased data platforms.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
  • The ability to quickly obtain security clearance.
