Job Description
AECOMs Water Business Line is actively seeking a Water Infrastructure Project Manager for employment in the Coral Gables Florida or Fort Lauderdale Florida office. The successful candidate will lead engineering staff on all project phases to deliver a variety of water wastewater stormwater and resiliency projects. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Manages projects including scoping task management invoicing and final closeout.
- Plans schedules conducts and/or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work of a major project or several smallmoderate scope projects.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff.
- Planning design permitting and construction phase services and will include activities focused on design of municipal water/wastewater stormwater and resiliency projects.
- Communicates project tasks between offices high level of coordination and communication skills required.
- Makes technical presentations.
- Oversee the planning and design of various project elements the preparation of project reports hydraulic models calculations drawings construction plans and specifications permitting packages and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables.
- Overseeing construction phase engineering services.
- Coordination with clients subconsultants regulatory agencies and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering environmental engineering or related field.
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.
- 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Relevant experience must include progressive experience as PE/PM in municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design projects.
- Demonstrated project management experience including delivering projects successfully on time and on budget.
- A demonstrated track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water wastewater and stormwater design projects.
- Valid Drivers License and must be able to pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 8 years of progressive experience in municipal water wastewater and stormwater design projects.
- Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams.
- Experience in managing and/or delivering projects by alternative delivery is a plus.
- Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.
