AECOM is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to be based in our Denver CO or Colorado Springs CO office.

Our Rocky Mountain Regional Offices have a vast market spread providing opportunities across a wide range of project typologies including Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Commercial Aerospace Higher Education Industrial and Process Transportation Aviation and Federal market sectors. A dynamic team of Architects Planners and Engineers we to incorporate beauty sustainability resiliency equity and innovation in our projects.
Some of our recent projects include a new Research and Development Facility for Sandia National Labs the Cadet Chapel historic renovation at the US Air Force Academy Energy Master Planning for the University of Colorado and the Nations largest sewer heat recovery central plant at the National Western Center Complex.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
Contribute to the Structural Engineering practice in the Denver Buildings and Places team
Assist with and/or lead the design of buildings and other structures in a variety of markets such as commercial government and institutional and infrastructure
Team with engineers and other staff to complete projects on schedule staying within given scope and budget
Coordinate with other engineering and architecture disciplines in producing construction documents
Prepare designs calculations sketches diagrams specifications reports schematic drawings and final working drawings for a variety of projects
Perform construction administration tasks as contracts require including coordinating with construction professionals reviewing shop drawings visiting sites and answering RFIs
Perform work including a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult coordination requirements
Occasionally be responsible for reviewing the designs and calculations of other engineers
Occasionally provide guidance and/or mentorship to lessexperienced engineers
Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed
Work under supervision of a project manager or seniorlevel team member
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements :
BA/BS Civil and/or Structural Engineering or related field 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications :
Professional Engineer license
Plus six (6) years of related experience
Masters Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit to produce structural engineering documents
Excellent communication skills
Experience in ETABS SAP2000 SAFE RAM Structural RAM Concept Tedds or LPile
