Civil Specialist

AECOMs Environment Business Line is seeking a Civil Specialist to join our team of professionals in our Markham Office Ontario. This is a Fulltime role.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide geotechnical project management and technical expertise in support of ongoing AECOM projects.
• Work with other geotechnical staff in Ontario and other geographies to provide the geotechnical geoenvironmental and hydrogeological field services to current and prospective clients and actively participate in local and regional collaborative opportunities.
• Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts suppliers contractors engineering consultants and external agencies.
• Prepare proposals for medium to high complexity projects for various geotechnical field investigation programs.
• Oversee work performed by junior staff and EITs.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary collaborative multinational team focused on delivery of superior services to our clients.  This is a challenging position for a selfmotivated individual that offers an excellent opportunity for career growth.

Qualifications :

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental and Geotechnical engineering related topics or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of geotechnical geoenvironmental and hydrogeological work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• MTO high complexity work experience in the GTA.
• Knowledge of geotechnical geoenvironmental and hydrogeological engineering.
• Experience with large projects and coordination with other disciplines.
• Post graduate degree in Engineering or Environmental Science.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage the project schedule with limited resources (planning skill).
• Willingness to work flexible hours under a variety of conditions.
• A strong commitment to safety.
• Strong organizational ability and manage multiple projects and deliver on time and on budget.
