Entry-Level WaterWastewater Resources Engineer

AECOM is seeking an EntryLevel Water/Wastewater Resources Engineer to be based in Chelmsford Massachusetts.

This position is expected to begin in May 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
• Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Prepare engineeringrelated calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Prepare design drawings plans sections details and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD MEP.
• Work under the supervision of a project manager or seniorlevel team member.
• Water/ wastewater treatment evaluation and design.
• Pump station evaluation and design.
• Water distribution system hydraulic modeling analysis and design.
• Sewer collection system evaluation and design.
• Stormwater modeling analysis and design.
• There will be an opportunity to work on Federal programs such as the United States for International Development.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering Chemical Engineering or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EngineerinTraining (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred.
• GIS and CAD skills.
• Capable of using spreadsheets word processing and standard office software.
• Basic knowledge of industrystandard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD HCS AutoCAD MicroStation GIS and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models).
• Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn.
• Detailoriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project.
• Ability to multitask.
• Strong logic skills and writing skills.
• Documents time and effort accurately.
• Ability to work productively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible can adapt to shifting priorities/work schedules.
• Able to work independently.
• Selflearner.
• Can take direction from others and in turn can provide guidance to others.

Additional Information :

• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• Relocation is not available for this position.
• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Chelmsford MA.  The selected candidate must be available to work in Chelmsford MA on a scheduled basis.
