You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Energy Trading Back Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of post-trade processes, ensuring accurate trade settlement, reconciliation, and documentation for commodity transactions. This role manages a team that handles trade validation, confirmation, regulatory reporting, and financial settlement. The Back Office Manager plays a critical role in maintaining operational integrity, managing risk, and providing support to trading and finance teams for smooth trading operations.
Job Responsibilities 1
Oversee all post-trade activities, including trade capture, validation, confirmation, and settlement processes.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of trades in the trading system and reconciliation with counterparties.
Manage trade documentation, including contracts, invoices, and shipment details, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Supervise the preparation and distribution of trade confirmations and settlements to counterparties.
Coordinate with trading, finance, and middle office teams to resolve trade discrepancies and issues.
Monitor and reconcile trading accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed promptly.
Oversee cash flow management and coordinate with the finance team for payment processing.
Manage physical and financial settlements for commodity trades, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.

Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate operational risks in trade processing.
Lead monthly and quarterly closing processes, preparing reconciliation reports for senior management.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX requirements, and external regulatory guidelines.
Manage relationships with external counterparties, clearinghouses, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Support the implementation of new systems and technologies to streamline back-office functions.
Provide leadership and training to the back-office team, fostering a culture of accuracy and compliance.

Job Experience
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
