You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Electrical Project Engineer is responsible to supervise and follow up Electrical systems Installation, Inspections, Testing and Commissioning. Assists the Project Manager in all technical and operation matters.
Job Responsibilities 1
Manage and liaise with the CM, MEP coordinators, Site engineers and foremen.
Ensure the project discipline works are executed in accordance with the relevant discipline drawings, specifications, method statement, execution program in coordination with all other disciplines.
Ensure that the Electrical works are executed efficiently within the target schedule in the best quality without materials wastage.
Ensure the Electrical works are executed in compliance with local authorities that has jurisdiction over the discipline scope of work i.e. KM, QCDD, Ooredoo, Health and Safety and all standards applicable to the project such as QCS2014 and the project specifications.
Ensure adherence to the relevant Company's policies and procedures.
Ensure the satisfaction of the client, consultant and main contractor and MEP project manager/CM always.
Guide the site engineers through the work activities management process throughout the duration of the project. Assign specific targets to the various work activities.
Plan and allocate responsibilities to team members.
1. Project Planning and Design
Design and plan electrical systems and infrastructure for various projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and more.
Prepare detailed electrical design specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, civil, and structural engineers) to integrate electrical systems within the broader project scope.
Review client requirements and ensure the electrical design meets their needs and specifications.
2. Cost Estimation and Budget Management
Estimate project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
Develop and maintain the project budget, ensuring that costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
Track and report on project expenses, identifying any discrepancies and proposing solutions to keep the project within budget.
Review and approve Electrical shop drawings.
Review and approve Electrical design calculations.
Review and sign-off Electrical material technical submittal before issuance to consultant.
Review and sign-off material requisitions.
Prepare schedule of method statements.
Review and approve method statements in compliance with project specifications and budget.
Liaise with technical department for the relevant authority approvals.

Local Regulations
UPDA Certified Engineer or Certification with attestation
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
