Principal Hydraulics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Hydraulics Engineer to join our dynamic team in Melbourne Australia. As a key member of our Buildings and Places business line you will lead hydraulic engineering projects across various sectors including aviation healthcare commercial and defence.

• Serve as the Hydraulics lead on major projects collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative and costeffective solutions.
• Act as Technical Lead and sign off on hydraulic designs and calculations ensuring compliance with Australian standards and codes.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers fostering a collaborative and growthoriented team environment.
• Manage client relationships and consult with stakeholders to determine optimal hydraulic solutions for project requirements.
• Lead the design and implementation of various hydraulic systems including rainwater harvesting sanitary plumbing and drainage trade waste drainage water reticulation and energyefficient water heating system.

Qualifications :

• Ideally 10 years of experience in hydraulic engineering preferably in a consulting environment
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems design principles and Australian standards and codes
• Relevant TAFE Qualification or Engineering Degree alongside RPEV / Chartership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Australian Citizenship (or on the pathway) is highly preferred due to project requirements
