Governess Position in Tashkent Uzbekistan

A family in Tashkent the capital of Uzbekistan is seeking a dedicated and professional governess to work with their 4yearold son. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is adventurous goaloriented and eager to save money while working in a relatively safe and secure environment. Please note this role is not suitable for individuals who prioritize an active social or party lifestyle.

About the Position:

This is a governessnanny role that focuses on the child s development general wellbeing and education household chores and cooking are Not part of the job as the family employs a full domestic staff.

The young boy is energetic happy and active attending kindergarten and engaging in activities such as football trampoline trips and swimming lessons at the family s indoor pool. The governess will play a crucial role in his educational and social development helping him gain fluency in English and prepare for integration into a British school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Speak exclusively in English with the child to support language acquisition.
  • Plan engaging activities such as crafting physical play and exploratory learning.
  • Introduce British traditions culture and social norms.
  • Foster proper manners behaviour and etiquette.
  • Organize and oversee playtime walks and outings.
  • Accompany the family on holidays assisting with packing the child s belongings and ensuring he has necessary materials.
  • Work collaboratively with the family to support their son s learning and happiness.

Working Hours:

  • 9:00 AM to 7:00/8:00 PM (10 11 hours per day) 6 days per week.
  • The family has a later daily routine with the child having supper with his parents before bedtime.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Must have been educated in the British school system and hold a degree. Knowledge of British school curriculum exams British history culture and traditions is essential.
  • Language Skills: Nativelevel English speaker with a British accent to ease the child s transition into a UK school environment.
  • Personality: Musical or creative talents are a plus as the child enjoys music and singing. A warm nurturing and proactive approach is highly valued.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: The governess should dress modestly and be mindful of local customs in Uzbekistan. Work attire may be provided by the family.
  • Additional Requirements: Excellent manners organizational skills and the ability to foster a structured yet enjoyable learning environment.

Living and Travel Arrangements:

  • Accommodation will be provided in a safe nearby location.
  • Meals are served in the residence s large staff kitchen (3 meals per day)
  • The family travels frequently and will require the governess to accompany them.

Additional Information:

  • This is not a rota position. The family has tried this arrangement in the past but it did not work for their needs.
  • The family will sponsor a visa. Candidates must be under 40 years old have a British passport and meet the educational requirements.

This position will suit someone relatively adventurous who is keen to earn and save a good amount of money. This position is not suitable for a partygoer who likes to socialise a lot.

This is a governessnanny / governess position. You are not required to do housework or cooking. The household has many staff.


He is a happy energetic little boy who attends Kindergarten and does scheduled activities such as football and trips to the trampoline centre. His swimming lessons are held at home where they have a large indoor pool.

The governess should be well educated and have been educated in the British school system (in the UK). You should have a degree. The governess will be speaking to their son only in English to help him learn fluent English so that he can integrate most easily when he attends a British school when he is a bit older. It is really important to the family that he will find starting school in the UK an easy and happy experience. Therefore the successful governess will be someone with sound knowledge of the British school system English school exams and curriculum British traditions and culture. And will speak English with a British accent so that their son can integrate very easily with other school children.

In your role you will work from 9am til 7 or 8pm (up to 10 or 11 hrs per day) 6 days per week. You will be speaking to the child in English arrange activities involving crafting physical play help him learn about the world around him (in English) start to introduce him to your British traditions and culture.

The little boy loves music so a musical governess and someone who likes to sing could be a great fit. He loves play and activities and he s fun to spend time with. You should organise playtime and taking him on walks. The family also travels for holidays and will need you to help pack his belongings and books and other materials.

Behaviour and manners are very important to the family the governess should have excellent knowledge of manners and etiquette herself.

The parents both work and arrive home late. Their son goes to bed later (and gets up later) than most children but your hours are in anycase 9am til 7/8pm when the little boy will have supper with his parents.

The parents and family members can speak English. The staff are international and can all speak English. The main language in the home and Tashkent is Russian. The child also has a Chinese nannygoverness so he s familiar with Chinese too. Uzbekistan is a Muslim country the governess will need to dress demurely and sensitive to the local culture. They are likely to provide work clothes for you.

The family will organise accommodation for you nearby. It is safe to get from the apartment to their home. There is a large staff kitchen at their residence where breakfast lunch and dinner is served.

This is not a rota position. The family has previously tried that for a short time and it did not work.

The family organises the visa for the nanny. For the visa the governess will need to be aged 40 or under and have a good education and a British passport.
