Job Description

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Position Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician reports directly to the Head of Automation and plays a vital role in maintaining and optimizing the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of the plant. Responsibilities include troubleshooting control systems managing special projects and performing electrical maintenance. This role collaborates with multiple departments to ensure efficient processing maximum equipment uptime and a safe work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform PLC maintenance and troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Analyze and adjust programs using logic flow diagrams for design and programming.
  • Configure install and repair automation and control devices.
  • Provide technical support to enhance processes and optimize system functionality.
  • Inspect and maintain electrical electronic and mechanical components to detect hazards or necessary repairs.
  • Perform electrical system maintenance and repairs across the facility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical mechanical production and quality issues.
  • Interpret mechanical plans and wiring diagrams to guide maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other team members on assigned projects.
  • Review controls documentation installation plans and provide feedback to leadership.
  • Assist in special projects and contribute to process improvements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or certificate in a relevant field or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC systems; experience with Siemens preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise in automation hardware and software including motion control systems.
  • Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in maintaining machine control systems and software upgrades.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Teamoriented ethical and committed to workplace safety.
  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule including night shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with dimensional lumber or engineered wood manufacturing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
