Domestic Assistant. Oak Springs Care Home
- Pay: £11.49 per hour
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Shifts: 4 days per week 8am– 4pm (including weekends)
Join the welcoming team at Oak Springs Care Home a modern purposebuilt residence located in Wavertree. Our 74bed home provides exceptional residential dementia and respite care for older adults in a warm and supportive environment.

Your Role as a Domestic Assistant
As a Domestic Assistant you will play a vital part in maintaining the comfort and cleanliness of our home ensuring residents enjoy a safe and welcoming environment. Duties include:
- Ensuring all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard including residents' rooms communal areas and bathrooms.
- Following cleaning schedules to ensure the home complies with infection control protocols and health and safety regulations.
- Managing laundry tasks including washing drying ironing and distribution of residents' clothing and linens.
- Restocking cleaning and laundry supplies and reporting any shortages.
- Assisting with deep cleaning tasks when required such as after maintenance or during routine sanitation cycles.
- Supporting a positive and respectful environment interacting warmly with residents their families and the wider team.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.
What We’re Looking For:
- A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong sense of teamwork and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Prior experience in cleaning and/or laundry either professionally or in a domestic setting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols meticulously.
- A flexible approach to work including availability for weekend shifts.
