Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the job:
As one of our Senior Electrical Engineers you will lead projects in EMEA for companies who lead in technology driven solutions. It will be second nature to you to manage project delivery from conception all the way through to completion / client handover. Confidently managing and growing relations with accounts. Your expertise will expand beyond just the electrical field also including BMS/EPMS Security and CSA. Excelling at project design planning to meet client expectations. You will also manage a team of support engineers mentoring them in their professional development. With that will come the responsibility of ensuring all deliverables from the team align with our quality assurance systems prior to handover.

About you:

• This role offers a hybrid remote arrangement in Ireland requiring attendance at the Dublin office as determined by the teams schedule.
• Degree or Diploma in Building Services or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of electrical building services design experiencewith Data Centres Industrial High Tech Commercial and/or Healthcare engineering projects
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Autocad Dialux Amtech REVIT an advantage
• Expert knowledge and experience in the following Electrical design areas: Lighting & Emergency Lighting Small Power and Data Fire alarms CCTV & Intruder Alarms MV/LV Power Distribution Containment and BMS
• Confident in client meetings skilfully communicating on behalf of the design team
• Ability to lead projects taking a brief from the project lead delivering and controlling required tasks
• Multitasker with the ability to prioritise and delegate as appropriate to meet project deadlines
• Excellent report writing explaining complex engineering issues in simple and clear language
• Knowledgeable in Irish and European Standards training can be provided
• Desire to grow with the organisation undertaking training and mentorship to progress

• Strong communication presentation and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently with minimal guidance from management.
• Proven experience in leading and coordinating engineering teams to successfully deliver projects.
• Effective liaison with clients architects and project managers.
• Motivated by continuous innovation and adopting emerging technologies.
• Advocate for the Ethos Electrical design process and engineering techniques.
• Expertise in the specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems.
• Leadership in the design of Electrical Services from the concept stage through to completion.
• Consistent execution of design and installation quality checks and controls.
• Preparation of comprehensive tender packages including detailed reports analyses and recommendations.
• Collaboration with design teams and clients to develop project scopes.
• Commitment to maintaining the organisations electrical design standards.
• Responsibility for mentoring engineering staff.
