Role Overview
As a Practice Area Lead in Data Science & Analytics youll work handson with technical teams across multiple projects. Youll provide advanced problemsolving expertise guide the adoption of innovative data techniques and ensure the quality of our technical deliverables. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment is passionate about data and enjoys leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction across projects in BI Reporting & Viz Advanced Analytics ensuring project outcomes meet highquality standards.
- Actively solve complex technical challenges and provide direct support to project teams employing advanced problemsolving methods.
- Serve as a goto expert in multiple data science and analytics areas influencing technical choices and ensuring optimal solutions.
- Guide the adoption and integration of new tools and technologies within projects enhancing the efficiency and impact of our solutions.
- Contribute to building standard methodologies and reusable templates shaping the technical IP library for future projects.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams providing technical support mentoring and handson guidance to junior and senior engineers.
- Proactively identify and address technical risks within projects minimizing potential setbacks and optimising project delivery.
- Shaping our offering as a company around Data Science Analytics and Advanced Analytics to enable up/cross sell opportunities and expansion within the market.
What You Bring
- Deep expertise in data science analytics and related tools with a proven ability to work directly on technical deliverables in areas such as BI AI and ideally GenAI.
- Strong problemsolving skills with experience tackling complex issues and implementing effective handson solutions.
- Comfortable overseeing and contributing directly to technical deliverables with a track record of success in managing multifaceted data projects.
- Experience leading technical teams in a handson capacity providing mentorship and supporting skill development across diverse technical areas.
- Uptodate with current tools and methodologies with a commitment to staying ahead in a fastpaced field.
Requirements / Experience Needed
- 8 years of experience in data science analytics or related field with 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in delivering highquality data solutions across multiple domains (BI Advanced Analytics AI GenAI)
- Advanced technical expertise in data science methodologies analytics and associated tools (e.g. Python R SQL Tableau Power BI)
- Experience overseeing and actively contributing to technical deliverables
- Experience in data warehousing and modelling
- Experience with transformation tools (e.g DBT Keboola etc)
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a focus on developing technical talent
- Proficiency in integrating and adopting new data tools and technologies
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and proactive approach to risk mitigation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Computer Science Statistics or a related field; advanced certifications are an advantage
