Collections Lead

Are you an experienced collections professional with a knack for improving processes and delivering results As the Collections Lead at flatfair youll focus on managing and optimising debt recovery taking ownership of endtoend collections while working closely with various teams to enhance our operations.

Our Collections team is responsible for recovering established charges from tenants and tenant guarantors on behalf of the landlord at the end of a tenancy. If a tenant doesnt settle their lawful charges flatfair may offer to purchase the landlord debt taking ownership of the recovery process. This role is therefore critical in reducing our net debt ratios and improving the sound financial operation of the business.

What youll be doing

Youll lead a small team but this role is mostly handson allowing you to directly impact our collections strategy and customer experience. Heres a snapshotof what youll be doingday to day:

• Managing and optimising debt collection processes to meet and exceed recovery targets.
• Conducting direct collections activity through calls emails and followup processes to maximise outcomes.
• Preparing and sending collections letters Letters Before Action and escalating cases to debt collection services when necessary.
• Tracking cases requiring new address tracing handling escalations and troubleshooting complex collection challenges.
• Tracking and analysingkey performance indicators to drive results and improve outcomes.
• Handling escalated cases and troubleshooting complex collection challenges.

About you

• Experience in debt collection or credit management with a strategic approach to recovery.
• Able to balance a handson collections role with leading a collections team.
• Analytical and resultsdriven using data to make informed impactful decisions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive cases empathetically and professionally.
• Proactive problemsolver with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Adaptable motivated and ready to take ownership of endtoend collection processes.
• Previous experience in a team lead position or experience mentoring collections professionals is preferred.
