Write 45 articles daily (around 400450 words each) including features listicles news updates and exclusive interviews focusing on High School football and Basketball.
Ensure accuracy and clarity in all content adhering to Sportskeeda s guidelines while meticulously checking for spelling grammar and contextual accuracy.
Pitch fresh story ideas and support the vertical lead in crafting content plans around significant events and news.
Cover all relevant news within your shift ensuring timely updates and no backlog for the next shift.
Source stories from leading news outlets social media sites and podcasts.
Stay updated with the latest developments in college and high school sports (football and basketball) including player performances team dynamics and key events.
Contribute to the growth and enhancement of the High School Sports section at Sportskeeda.
Requirements
13 years of experience in sports writing. Writing about the Pro Leagues NCAA and/or High School Football/Basketball is highly preferred.
Basic understanding of American Football/Basketball and the culture surrounding it.
Proven skills in content strategy editing and topic ideation.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Uptodate knowledge of recent developments in NFL/NBA and NCAA teams players and major events is a plus.
Familiarity with local football/basketball communities and their dynamics is a plus.
A network within the high school football/basketball community is advantageous.
1-3 years of experience in sports writing. Writing about the Pro Leagues, NCAA, and/or High School Football/Basketball is highly preferred.
