Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Appian Solution Architect to lead the design development and delivery of scalable Appianbased solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Appian s BPM platform technical architecture and integration patterns coupled with strong leadership and mentoring abilities. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure the successful implementation of business solutions that meet our clients requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design:
Develop highlevel and detailed solution architecture for Appian applications ensuring alignment with business goals and technology standards.
Design robust scalable and secure Appian applications with a focus on performance optimization.
Provide technical leadership for largescale implementations and migrations to Appian.
Development & Implementation:
Oversee and guide the development of Appian applications components and integrations using Appian BPM platform tools.
Lead solution development lifecycle phases including requirements gathering design development testing deployment and support.
Integration & Deployment:
Design and implement integration solutions between Appian and external systems (e.g. REST APIs SOAP databases and ERP systems).
Optimize deployment strategies for Appian environments including onpremise cloud and hybrid architectures.
Leadership & Mentoring:
Act as a mentor and provide guidance to junior and midlevel Appian developers.
Collaborate with business analysts stakeholders and project managers to define technical and functional requirements.
Quality Assurance & Standards:
Establish and enforce best practices coding standards and governance policies for Appian projects.
Conduct regular code reviews and ensure compliance with security and performance standards.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Address and resolve complex technical issues in Appian applications.
Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Experience:
812 years in IT with 5 years of handson experience in Appian BPM development and architecture.
Strong expertise in Appian (L3/L4 certified preferred).
Proven track record of delivering endtoend Appian solutions across diverse industries.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Appian objects (records reports SAIL interfaces expressions constants rules process models CDTs).
Handson experience with Appian integrations (REST APIs Web Services databases etc.).
Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server Oracle MySQL) and query optimization.
Familiarity with DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for Appian deployments.
Experience with authentication protocols (OAuth SAML) and security standards.
Soft Skills:
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Leadership and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Appian Level 3 or Level 4 Certification.
Experience in managing Appian environments in a cloudnative setup.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker Kubernetes).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (Jira Confluence).
Experience in presales activities client interaction and proposal creation.
