Retail Butcher Job North County Dublin
Here at Teamworx we are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly successful supermarket group. Our client prides itself on the high standard of quality butcher products sold in their stores and is seeking an experienced Butcher who is passionate about delivering good quality products to customers.
The ideal Butcher candidate will be either fully qualified or partially qualified as a Butcher capable of displaying counters maintaining the records assisting customers with queries and must have a good ability to build rapport and upsell products within a customerfacing environment.
The salary for this role is NEG DOE.

The ideal person for this Retail Butcher job:
- Previous experience in a retail food deli or butcher environment is ideal but not essential.
- Butchery Qualification either full or partial from Ireland is required
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have a strong work ethic and be able to work both on your own and within a team
- Strong knowledge of HACCP
- Flexible to work mainly early mornings with occasional late evenings and weekends
Responsibilities for this Retail Butcher Job:
- Receiving and inspecting carcasses or cuts of meat determining the appropriate method of butchering and using tools to cut trim portion and prepare the meat according to customer orders
- Assist customers in selecting the right cuts of meat provide cooking advice and answer questions about the different types of meat.
- Follow proper hygiene practices ensure proper storage and handling of meat clean and sanitize equipment and work areas regularly and adhere to local health regulations
- May be responsible for weighing and pricing meat products as well as packaging them appropriately for display or sale
