My client has a strong global presence and they dominate their sector as the market leader in the UK. Due to expansion and investment my client is seeking a plant manager to take responsibility for manufacturing operations. An exciting time to join a wellestablished engineering organisation.
Your Duties:
* Full operational responsibility of a busy plant including continuous improvement planning union relationship management project delivery maintenance scheduling QHSE staff training/development resource allocation business planning and more
* Making sure that all CAPEX and revenue schemes stay accurate
* Establishing and implementing a lean manufacturing environment
* Taking responsibility for all aspects of budgeting for the plant
* Indirect management of 350 employees
Requirements
* Engineering operations or manufacturing manager/director with a background in heavy engineering
* Experience managing change and transformation in a busy manufacturing environment
* Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
* Experience working at senior leadership level
