Job Description
- Advise clients architects contractors and public stakeholders on building regulations and oversee services under Approved Inspectors Regulations.
- Carry out onsite inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations including examining submitted plans for conformity.
- Enforce statutory building control legislation for building work proposals.
- Act as a consultant to ensure effective service delivery manage compliance and oversee invoicing of inspection fees.
- Advise on building regulation and controls to clients developers and the industry handling issues like dangerous structures as needed.
Requirements
- RBI Level 2 (minimum)
- Degree in Construction or Building Control BTEC NVQ or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Building Control Inspector with knowledge of building regulations and planning legislation
- Driving licence and your own car
