Job Description

TPF Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic independent accountancy practice based in Maidstone Kent. They are seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience. This is a mixed tax & accounts position within a general practice capacity ideal for an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager looking to join a growing team with exceptional exposure on offer and genuine career prospects. The practice services clients who are wideranging in size industry and sector and you will therefore get exposure to a wide variety of client types and scope.

As an Accounts & Tax Manager you will be responsible for;

  • Understand performance expectations and manage teams to meet these expectations
  • Maintain regular client contact on a proactive basis listen to needs and suggest initiatives/improvements
  • Acquire and apply technical expertise in accounting tax and interpret laws regulations and standards to a mixed portfolio of clients
  • Dealing with both clients and team members and therefore should demonstrate clear communication skills
  • Prepare and oversee production of accounts for a mixed portfolio of clients including limited companies sole traders and partnerships
  • Prepare final statutory and nonstatutory accounts
  • Prepare tax computations and complete tax returns and submissions to HMRC
  • Manage and review accounts and tax returns of junior staff

Requirements

  • Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience.
  • 510 years experience within an accountancy practice experience.
  • Experience preparing accounts and tax returns.
  • Experience of QuickBooks Xero or Sage would be advantageous.

You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3 years experience within practice. You will have worked as Semi Senior or Senior accountant within practice Experience of Iris and cloud software such as Xero/ Quickbooks would be advantageous
