Job Summary:
To manage the transfer of exit activity from Capita currently covered by the 5C s (5 Councils) contract.
This covers: Revenues and Benefits Revenues and Benefits Helpdesk (Contact Centre) Land Charges This role includes the liaison with external and internal stakeholders managing and escalating risk issues to ensure a seamless transfer of services back to Somerset Council by the end of Sept 2025.
This is a highprofile project and involves the transfer of a regulatory service involving customer data and frontline customer access.
Some on site meetings may be required but it will be largely an assignment working offsite.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
Plan and manage the project
Apply sound judgement including anticipating identifying analysing and solving problems internalisation of the remaining elements of the current contract on time in full
Revenues and Benefits
Land Charges
Customer Services relating to Revenues and Benefits
Schedule/delivery plan development and maintenance including dependencies and options. This needs to align with the suppliers plan.
Risk management development of risk log and continued monitoring and updating
Financial tracking of internal and external costs
Contingency Management
Change Control
Communication internal with Somerset Council key stakeholders the external contract manager and with the current supplier transition team
Management of TUPE transition in conjunction with Somerset Council (SC) appointed Human Resources (HR) support
Data transfer export data sets to templates to enable cleaning and import to the new system
Data Security and Information Management
Engage with experts holding specialist skills knowledge and experience.
Essential Experience Required:
Experience managing a complex project with multiple internal and external stakeholders with significant ICT Data and Staffing elements is essential.
Essential Qualification Required:
Project management qualification is essential.
Additional information to note:
Working hours: 37 hours per week.
Largely remote working but some attendance at County Hall may be required.
