This is a remote position.
We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer (Quality Assurance) to join a remote team overseeing software quality through both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate is skilled in collaborating with developers endusers and other stakeholders to create detailed test plans manage test events document findings and resolve defects efficiently. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of software hardware systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system specifications to understand testing needs.
- Work closely with Business Analysts Test Engineers and Managers to create effective test plans and strategies.
- Perform manual and automated test cases analyzing results and documenting defects.
- Track issues in the defect database report bugs and follow up on resolutions.
- Conduct tests postimplementation to confirm proper functionality.
- Ensure quality across the development lifecycle by working with various teams.
- Manage and oversee all testing events staffing them with suitable resources.
- Configure necessary hardware and software environments for test completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline or 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record in QA/testing roles particularly with ServiceNow Test Management and Automated Test Framework.
- Experience in project management and QA processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot errors and document findings accurately.
- Understanding of Agile frameworks and regression testing is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with VA or similar federal agencies is advantageous.
- Familiarity with 508 compliance and testing.
- Experience with CMMI Level 3 ISO 9001:2015 or 9001:2001 and ITIL.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and methodologies.

A Master's degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience in data analysis or analytics, with a focus on workforce or compensation analytics. Proven ability to work on complex assignments, offering innovative solutions with minimal oversight. Experience with labor market surveys, compensation analysis, and workforce data, particularly within federal or defense sectors. Strong problem-solving skills, including developing methodologies and presenting findings to leadership.
