Job Description

Mechanical Supervisor Carlisle Cumbria

Salary

MacArthur is recruiting for a successful engineering manufacturing company for this position of Mechanical Supervisor where you will be part of a small team of supervisors looking after motivating and managing engineers fabricators welders and other team members. This is a fulltime Mechanical Supervisor role based in Carlisle.

Overview of your existing experience and characteristics for the role of Mechanical Supervisor :

Able to empower teams and develop their skills to a really high level as well as your own
Experience in a Supervisor Lead or Management role
Able to understand and interpret technical drawings CAD diagrams and similar
General manufacturing background
Have a keen eye for detail
Mechanical engineering background ideally however other disciplines would be fine
Good handson motivator able to get the best out of people
Enable people through explanations and handson demonstrations on how to complete technical and nontechnical tasks
Focus on quality people and product
MS Office
Positive attitude and problem solving abilities

Key responsibilities for the role of Mechanical Supervisor :

Team management manage train appraisals and mentoring
Ability to develop rapport and professional relationships with managers staff and external parties
Looking after engineers fabricators welders and other staff
Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements Health & Safety Qualification would be a bonus IOSH NEBOSH etc
Quality eg ISO 9001
Supervisory experience within manufacturing ideally
Enable people to take responsibility and have autonomy
Driving operational improvements and achieving business objectives
Continuous Improvement (CI) our client is in the very early stages of this so any experience you bring would be a bonus
