Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer I to join our dynamic team in Oakland California. As an entrylevel civil engineer you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects while developing your skills and contributing to our organizations success.
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects under the supervision of experienced engineers
- Conduct engineering calculations create sketches and prepare schematic drawings
- Collect and analyze data to support project requirements and decisionmaking processes
- Utilize computeraided design (CAD) software to produce detailed drawings and plans
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure project goals are met
- Participate in site visits and field work to gather necessary information
- Contribute to the preparation of reports specifications and other technical documents
- Support the development of cost estimates and project schedules
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies
- Stay updated on industry standards codes and best practices
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- EIT Certification
- Knowledge of CAD software and proficiency in MS Office suite
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Detailoriented with a commitment to producing highquality work
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
Additional Information :
- This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Oakland CA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Oakland CA on a scheduled basis.
