Process Engineer
Scope of the role
Developing or modifying sorting processes to increase product performance and improve production efficiency. Works closely with all process owners.
Responsibilities
- Process Optimisation: understanding the flow of materials in the sorting process identifying potential issues with existing methods and determining ways to optimize them in order to increase sorting operations efficiency reduce costs improve sustainability.
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation: evaluates current and new technologies and determines their applicability and pilot the technology manage its fullscale implementation and train staff.
- Machine Troubleshooting and ProblemSolving: quickly identify and troubleshoot sorting operations issues when arise; understanding root causes developing and testing potential solutions.
- Safety and Compliance: ensure all processes in our sorting operations comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: keeping detailed records of process information including production rates process parameters and implemented improvements and creating reports that detail sorting operations performance.
- Collaboration and Crossfunctional teamwork: work closely with different departments and process owners to achieve the best possible product output.
- Project Management: lead or participate in crossfunctional project teams aimed at implementing new processes products or significant changes to existing methods. This includes project planning resource allocation timeline management and execution.
- Operations Scaling: advise and take the lead on the launching of new sorting operations automation and machinery.
Requirements
- Experience as a production/process engineer minimum 2 years
- Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimize efficiency and throughput
- Lean/Six Sigma or completed training in techniques and tools of process improvement
- Project Management experience
- Handson and pragmatic
