Our client a globalscale Australian gold producer with projects located in the Goldfields Western Australia is looking for a Occupational Health Nurse with at least 3 years of FIFO mine site experience for a tempperm opportunity starting November 6.
The primary role is to ensure the health of employees and contractors through; the delivery of professional health and medical services health promotion proactive injury management monitoring of occupational health functions and the delivery of expert advice and assistance on health and medical matters. The Occupational Health Nurse is on call 24 hours to respond promptly to medical emergencies.
Job Duties:
- Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of safety and emergency response equipment according to established checklists
- Serve as the First Responder for injury and incident management including being available for afterhours oncall support
- Keep site First Aid rooms and ambulances in a state of readiness
- Develop implement and uphold safe work procedures while fostering a culture of safety awareness among staff
- Create and maintain procedures to ensure operations are environmentally sustainable
- Communicate any changes in systems processes and procedures clearly to all team members
- Perform regular inspections of work areas and equipment to ensure safe operational practices
- Participate in and facilitate incident investigations and risk assessments

- AHPRA Registered Nurse with 3 years of mine site experience
- Collect Specimens for Drug of Abuse Testing Qualified
- Current qualification in Advanced Life Support (ALS)
- HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing.
- Ability to operate MS Office programs
- Advanced Life Support Level 1 and 2 (Desirable)
- Understanding of workplace injury management
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- C Class Drivers Licence
