We are currently recruiting a Designer with experience in bridges and/or structures design to join our experienced team. The team provides assessment concept feasibility preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Projects either as standalone bridge commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects. Our internal clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering bridge engineering design for many years throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Global Delivery Center (Poland/Spain).
Responsibilities
Works as part of a bridges and structures team with other designers at the same functional level that can be from different EC offices (Poland Spain India).
Coordinates and leads design teams.
Conducts none complex value engineering evaluations determining alternative designs materials construction techniques.
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings including participation in interdisciplinary reviews.
Ensures that project technical goals/milestones/ budgets are met.
Prepares complex project deliverables and mentoring.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
Proven track record of working on bridges and/or and structures designs and collaborating with international and multicultural teams (7 years)
Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA Australian Codes; British Standards etc.).
Proficiency in engineering calculation software for bridges / structures (preferable Midas Civil CSiBridge / SAP2000 etc. are well seen).
Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.
Ability to solve complex issues with limited direction on the bridges and/or structures field.
Experience working in the North America / Australia region will be considered favorably.
Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Master degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably.
