Job Description
AECOM is seeking a experienced Proposal Specialist III West region Marketing Team. This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules with an expectation to go into an AECOM office at least 2 times a week and can be based out of but not limited to Denver CO; Phoenix AZ or Salt Lake City UT.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Spearhead the endtoend proposal development process from initial RFP/RFQ analysis to final submission
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather technical information and craft compelling clientfocused proposals
- Develop and maintain proposal templates content libraries and best practices documentation
- Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards
- Analyze win/loss data to refine proposal strategies and improve success rates
- Mentor junior proposal team members and provide guidance on best practices
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and persuasive technical content
- Conduct thorough reviews and edits of proposals to ensure consistency clarity and compliance with RFP requirements
- Develop executive summaries past performance narratives and other key proposal components
- Stay current with industry trends competitive landscapes and client needs to inform proposal strategies
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS 4 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in proposal writing and management with a proven track record of successful submissions
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Prior experience in the AEC industry
- Advanced proficiency in proposal writing editing and project management
- Strong analytical skills for RFP/RFQ analysis and datadriven decision making
- Expertlevel proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Experience with proposal management software and data visualization tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification preferred
- Knowledge of industryspecific regulations and standards
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak proposal periods when necessary
