VP Global Transportation - Ports

AECOM is seeking a strategic VP Global Transportation Ports who is a highenergy professional with considerable gravitas agile and flexible in ones approach and has board presence. Must have a passion for growing the Port and Maritime business.

AECOMs Transportation Goods Movement Market Sector provides infrastructure solutions across the global supply chain. The Business Unit provides planning design and construction expertise to manufacturers ports freight railroads eretailers and trucking companies.

Within the Transportation Goods Movement BU AECOM plans engineers and oversees construction for some of the largest port and marine facilities worldwide. Some examples of maritime developments include:

• Container
• Liquid and dry bulk terminals
• Waterfront developments
• Cruise and ferry terminals
• Recreational marinas
• Military installations

The Ports & Marine team delivers key capabilities such as dredging landfill and waterfront projects to marine terminals backland facilities intermodal transfer facilities and cruise terminals.

AECOM services provided within the Port & Marine sector include:

• Port Master Planning
• Port Policy and Management Consultation
• Financial and Economic Feasibility Analysis
• Port and Marine Terminal Models and Simulations
• Freight Rail and Intermodal Transfer Facilities
• Passenger Cruise and Ferry Terminals
• Seaports and Rail Simulation Models
• Ship Building and Repair Facilities
• Program and Project Management
• Engineering Design
• Construction Management
• Container and General Cargo Terminals
• Shoretoship Power Design
• Terminal Operations Environmental Management

The Director will report to the Senior Vice President Global Market Sector Leader Goods Movement. This Director will be an integral part of the Goods Movement Market Sectors leadership team supporting and helping to lead the Market Sector and AECOMs Transportations strategy. This individual should possess an intimate and thorough understanding of the international marine terminal development business and the global players. The Director shall have proven experience in working within an international highly matrixed environment and be comfortable in a diverse multicultural environment with an appreciation for diversity equity and inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing AECOMs relationships with global port terminal operators and regional port authorities supervising the interaction between AECOMs various business lines and these critical clients 
• Engaging with clients both at the executive and project management level in order to represent AECOMs strengths while building longterm partnerships
• Focusing on upcoming program / project pursuits with this client base and leading the capture planning of various pursuits
• Proactively interacting with AECOMs critical client base to introduce new services and innovations creating strategic partnerships and unlocking valuable projects 
• Ability to describe the whole of AECOMs services from ports & marine design to environment facilities etc. collaborating with AECOM subject matter experts to highlight the full suite of AECOMs capabilities to these important clients 
• Accountable for significant growth with a small subset of goods movement clients addressing individual and team KPIs
• Collaborate globally with AECOMs ports & marine project teams to understand the Companys capabilities and innovations and sell those to AECOMs critical ports & marine clients
• Leading client programs depending on expertise and background

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS 12 Years Of Related Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 4 years of leadership.
• 12 years experience working within the marine or ports industry as an engineering consultant.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE and or certification in project management (e.g. PMP)
