Education & Professional Qualification:
- Degree(s)/Major(s): Fresh Grad in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Certification(s): Certification with Medicine/medical/health care will be preferred.
- 6 months of experience with Medical billing and EHRs..
- Fluency with English communication is paramount in this role.
- Assist with submitting insurance claims promptly and accurately.
- Post payments from insurance and patients into the system.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve issues.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility before billing.
- Maintain accurate records of billing activities.
- Address patient and insurance inquiries professionally.
- Stay updated on healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
- Support the team in improving billing processes.
- Participate in training to enhance skills.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in healthcare administration finance business or a related field.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of medical billing processes including claim submission and payment posting.
- Attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in learning medical terminology and coding (ICD10 CPT HCPCS).
- Awareness of healthcare privacy and confidentiality standards like HIPAA.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to acquire handson experience in medical billing.
