Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 years experience working in a construction company. This role is suited for a professional who excels in cost management and has a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage budgets cost plans and tender submissions.
  • Measure and value works onsite including interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and financial obligations.
  • Assist in dispute resolution and risk management.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within a construction company.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods materials and contracts (e.g. JCT NEC).
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field.
  • Proficient in cost management software and MS Excel.

Please note: Candidates with PQS (Professional Quantity Surveying) or specialist subcontracting backgrounds will not be considered for this role.
