Job Description

  • The Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Technician will collaborate with maintenan ce and operations teams to resolve control systems and process failures.
  • The EIC Tech will be the subject matter expert for the site in matters relating to control systems.
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting control system failures and identifying s olutions while educating peers and maintenance staff.
  • Work with engineering maintenance and operations to make necessary changes to eq uipment for process improvements system upgrades preventative procedures product changes and new product launches.
  • Improve equipment uptime and contribute to Plant reliability efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and implement standards to maintain the controls architecture and integrity.
  • Provide engineering technical support to maintenance and plant operations to deliver performance safety and quality improvements as well as cost savings initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to engineering firms construction contractors and equipment vendors.
  • Share technical expertise to build controls knowledge and capability within the mainte nance team.

 

Job Duties

  • 5 years of relevant experience (Engineering Maintenance Project management Plant Operations)
  • Effective interpersonal skills motivation and commitment to lead and direct others to deliver results.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience delivering process improvements.
  • Strong working knowledge of Rockwell Automation / AllenBradley suite or similar of P LC and controls products (e.g. ControlLogix PanelView Factory Talk Asset Centre VFDs )
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial controls networks (e.g. Ethernet IP)
  • Strong working knowledge of process instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of OT (Operational Technology) systems and hardware
  • Ability to develop read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of industrial power and lighting applications electrical safety and power distribution
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.

 

  • Number of Job positions available: 3
  • Job Type: FT Starting
  • Salary: $3050/hr depending on employers offer and candidates qualifications
  • Overtime: time and a half over 40
  • Expected OT: 10 hours a week.
  • Workweek: MonFriday 73 or 95 some on call to cover for emergency plant outages etc
  • Can they work extra days Yes on call extra if over 40
  • Payment Type: Direct Deposit
  • Payment Days: biweekly 2x a month

 


Qualifications :

  • Is the worker required to supervise other workers Yes some contract workers
  • Criminal Background Check: Yes 3 Amigos to provide check international check Carta Federal de No Antecedentes Penales and employer will perform USA criminal background heck.
  • Drug Test: No pre employment drug test. But Candidates are subject to random drug t est and for cause. Positive resulto f cannabis is not acceptable. If a worker tests positive for cannabis is it acceptable NO
  • English Level Requirement: Advanced they will be working with Engineers who only speak English Must attend the job training Yes Some bilingual
  • Must attend safety meetings: Yes Drivers license required: Yes.
  • Physical requirements: Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Physical requirements include standing for extended periods requiring stair and ladder climbing and routinely lifting to 50 pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats safety glasses air masks ear protection chemical suits hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment etc.). Work with hazardous materials may be required. All personnel will participate in a postoffer physical examination and drug screening and postemployment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
