Join us were an Investors in People Silver Standard Company
Due to company growth we have fantastic opportunities for Arb Surveyors based around the Andover and Salisbury areas to oversee deveg and arb works around power lines and pylons for SSE.
As a Utilities Arb Surveyor you will work in liaison with the Contract Delivery Manager to ensure work is completed within a set geographical area utilising a team of operational staff. You will ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety environment quality customer service and profitability.
This role will involve spending 3/4 days a week out surveying perfect for those with a love of the great outdoors. You will need a driving licence as you will be driving to rural locations on a regular basis.
What you will achieve;
- Responsible for outputs and performance within your projects measured against safety quality production budget required timings and client satisfaction.
- Ensure efficient communication with your assigned office based Project Coordinator and relevant action taken to ensure projects are processed in good time for smooth and efficient project delivery on all projects.
- Timely and effective reporting and communication through to your Contract Delivery Manager
- Ensure your assigned tree cutting teams have a suitable work bank and are being fully utilised across the wider contract.
- Update and manage the Work Programme SD Programme Held Up Programme Planning checklists and all similar programmes for your project and assigned teams.
- Satisfactorily resolving any HeldUp spans that need client resolution to obtain consent.
Who are we looking for
This a great role for someone with a basic project management or surveying experience in the Arb industry who would like to expand their skills further. We would also consider candidates who have surveying experience within a different sector who are prepared to learn the technical tree side of the role on the job.
To be successful in this role you must also have:
- Practiced and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proficient and competent IT.
- Welldeveloped team management and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and balance demands from numerous sources to ensure that all stakeholder needs are met.
- Excellent Customer Service
Although full training will be provided for the right candidate the following would be beneficial:
- Arb experience
- NPTC Utility Arboriculture Units 1 2.1 5.1 and 5.2
- LANTRA Basic or Professional Tree Inspectors Qualification
