The Seed Plant Treating and Packaging Department Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the seed treating and packaging department. This role involves supervising a team of technicians ensuring adherence to established processes procedures and quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Accountabilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the seed treating and packaging technicians ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor and maintain adherence to established processes procedures and workflows within the department.
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and promote a culture of safety among the team.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to maintain high standards in seed treatment and packaging operations.
- Provide training guidance and support to technicians fostering their skill development and knowledge enhancement.
- Collaborate with other department Lead Technicians and managers to align operations and resolve any issues or conflicts.
- Manage inventory levels material requirements and equipment maintenance for the department.
- Maintain accurate records generate reports and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in a Lead Technician or leadership role preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of seed treatment and packaging processes equipment and quality standards is desired.
- Familiarity with HSEQ (Health Safety Environment and Quality) standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant computer systems and software applications.
- Ability to multitask prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
