Your training program
- The Ascension Academy is open to anyone with little or no flying experience whatever their professional or educational background. If youve always dreamed of flying or want to change your career path this training program can help you take on a new life by flying our mediumrange aircraft. Read more.
- We have developed this training program with CAE the gold standard worldwide for pilot training and a longstanding partner.
- If youre selected for the program Air Transat will hire you upon successful completion. The program will help you become a pilot in a matter of months and fly on our wings.

Phoenixs Campus
- The Ascension Academy program lasts approximately 18 months. Most of the training takes place at CAEs facilities at Falcon Field airport in Phoenix in Arizona on a modern cuttingedge campus. Read More
Once youre hired
- Your training will enable you to operate the aircraft in our fleet upon completion of the program.
- Youll fly some of the most fuelefficient lastgeneration aircraft in their class (A330 and A321) and work with the latest technological tools in the industry.
- Youll fly to top international destinations. Youll quickly be flying transatlantic to Europe the Caribbean Central America and the east and west coasts of the United States.
Qualifications :
Make sure you are eligible: Canadian citizens or permanent residents with little to no previous flight experience are encouraged to apply. If you have already started flight training you cannot enroll in this program if you have obtained any qualification or certificate other than a private pilot certificate. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the start of training with a completed high school diploma and English proficiency equivalent to ICAO level 4.
Kick off your application by answering a few questions about your candidacy. As you proceed through the process an assessment and interviews will be required. If selected a conditional letter of employment will be provided prior to commencing your training. After enrolling you will begin your training at the CAE Phoenix Aviation Academy in sunny Arizona USA.

We have four cohorts per year to start your training : March June September and December
