Job Description
The Manager Learning and Talent Development at Sodexo Canada is responsible for shaping and executing the organizations learning and talent strategy to foster a culture of continuous growth and excellence. This role works collaboratively with the Director of Learning Talent & Performance along with key stakeholders across departments to identify learning needs create impactful resources and facilitate sessions that drive a highperformance growthoriented culture. By integrating talent development initiatives with learning programs the Manager ensures employees at all levels are equipped with the skills and knowledge to meet evolving business needs. This role supports Sodexos mission of enhancing the quality of life for employees and clients by developing a skilled engaged and futureready workforce.
Learning & Development Design LMS Management & Analytics
- Lead the design development and delivery of innovative learning and development programs that support employee growth and skill enhancement at all levels of the organization.
- Oversee the design implementation and evaluation of training programs including leadership development technical and power skills training.
- Manage and optimize our Learning Management System (LMS) platforms ensuring the relevant and seamless deployment of learning content tracking of employee progress and reporting of training completion.
- Assign and track learning modules and courses working with our global LMS partners ensuring employees are engaged in their development and meet compliance and developmental goals.
- Utilize LMS analytics to measure program effectiveness identify learning gaps and continuously refine content to improve learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure learning content is relevant engaging and aligned with business needs.
- Ensure learning solutions are accessible scalable and aligned with the companys culture and values.
Onboarding & Program Facilitation
- Lead and manage the employee onboarding process ensuring new hires are successfully integrated into the organization and aligned with company values processes and culture.
- Facilitate engaging learning sessions workshops and teambuilding programs that support employee development and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Ensure that onboarding and learning programs are inclusive informative and reflective of the employees role companys mission and culture.
- Continuously evaluate and refine facilitation techniques to enhance learning outcomes and employee experience.
Leadership Development & Coaching
- Design and implement leadership development programs to identify nurture and support the next generation of leaders within the organization.
- Implement structured coaching frameworks and mentoring programs that support both leadership and employee development.
- Provide oneonone coaching for leaders and highpotential employees helping them grow in their leadership capabilities and professional effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of inclusion diversity and continuous improvement through leadership initiatives.
Talent Development & Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with leadership to understand organizational goals and translate them into actionable talent strategies.
- Facilitate talent management programs such as succession planning leadership development and workforce forecasting to ensure the right talent is in place for the organizations future needs.
- Monitor workforce trends talent gaps and industry changes to ensure the company is prepared for emerging business demands.
- Design and implement talent development initiatives that align with strategic business priorities.
- Use talent analytics and performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and talent development initiatives.
- Conduct needs assessments surveys and performance metrics to gauge the success of programs and ensure they align with business goals.
Frontline Learning & New Business Mobilizations
- Lead the development and delivery of learning programs tailored for frontline employees ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively and deliver exceptional service.
- Oversee training programs for new business mobilizations ensuring all new locations or service offerings are launched smoothly with welltrained teams.
- Collaborate with operations and other key stakeholders to assess the specific learning needs for frontline teams and new unit projects.
- Develop and implement learning strategies that ensure rapid onboarding and effective training for employees in new units or locations ensuring consistency and alignment with Sodexos high standards.
- Continuously evaluate the impact of these learning initiatives on frontline performance and customer satisfaction making improvements as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration Learning & Development or a related field
- 5 years of experience in learning talent management or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering learning programs across various modalities (inperson virtual elearning).
- Proven track record in Instructional design and adult learning.
- Strong understanding of leadership development employee engagement and learning methodologies.
- Proficiency in talent platforms (e.g. SuccessFactors UKG etc)
- Experience managing and optimizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) including analytics and reporting.
- Exceptional facilitation communication and coaching skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in datadriven decision making and program evaluation.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Captivate iSpring Canva Powtoon).
- Experience in the hospitality/service industry would be an asset.
- French/English written/spoken (Bilingual) is an asset
