FPA Analyst

The Analyst Financial Planning and Analysis is a key finance position reporting to the Manager Financial Planning and Analysis. This position will collaborate with FP&A commercial and operation finance in the development and preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting as well as ad hoc request from finance senior leadership. This role is responsible for the complex and interpretive financial reporting centered on managements consolidated internal financials. In addition the Analyst Financial Planning and Analysis will assist in identifying to management potential areas of opportunities enhancement and risk involved in the reporting process. 

Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of monthly and quarterly reporting schedules reviewed by senior leadership.

• Assist in analysis and commentary for variance of actuals versus prior year and forecast or budget.

• Serve as financial administrative backup to financial reporting system (EPBCS).

• Provide insight and recommendations to streamline current reporting process.

• Engages regularly in special projects related to companywide finance & accounting efficiency improvement goals. 

• Learns and navigates through multiple reporting systems

Qualifications :

• An undergraduate degree in Finance Accounting or related field or equivalent experience required.  

• Minimum of 12 years of experience of increasing responsibility within accounting finance and/or financial planning and analysis management preferably in a manufacturing organization.

• Understanding of and experience with the interpretation and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles with experience in internal or external reporting a plus.

• Strong to advanced skill level with Excel formulas including index match and vlookup functions and experience with Microsoft Office suit (Outlook PowerPoint Word Excel). 

• Prior experience with reporting software such as Essbase Hyperion or BPC a plus.

• Strong organizational and execution skills. Must be capable of moving assignments forward with high quality execution and minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and followthrough skills.

• Positive and solutionorientated attitude and approach.

• Effective communication (written and verbal); clearly concisely and with context communicate objectives and expectations within the organization.  

• Ability to critically assess and simplify processes and controls and challenge business drivers and risks.

• Ability to travel a minimum 3 times annually (domestic) less than 5%.
