Job Description
The Dams and Hydropower student intern will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from our experts in Ontario and Quebec. They will contribute to a variety of hydropower and dam projects across Canada.
Primary responsibilities
- Assist with engineering design drawings and specifications for structural design (concrete steel or wood systems)
- Concrete dam stability assessment
- Assist in carrying out studies and technical reports
- Participate in field work inspections
Qualifications :
- Student presently enrolled in a bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering
- Knowledge of standards and codes governing structural design
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge in structural analysis software (STAAD SAP ETABS MathCAD etc.)
- Valid Canadian Drivers Licence
- Excellent oral and writing communication skills
The salary for this position ranges from $23.75 to $29.40 per hour depending on your academic profile the number of credits earned and your previous coop or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
