Electrical Engineer or CEP - Protection Control PC

As an Electrical Engineer or Candidate to the Engineering Profession (CEP) in protection and control (P&C) youll be able to participate in the design of highlevel schematics the development of protection philosophy and contribute to largescale electrical power projects. Youll work in a multidisciplinary environment as part of our Energy team in Saguenay QC developing your skills by collaborating with experienced professionals particularly on substation and hydroelectric power plant projects for our client HydroQubec. We offer a flexible hybrid work model enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design Control and Protection systems using 2D software (AutoCAD)
• Prepare project deliverables including detail drawings electrical diagrams layouts equipment sizing etc.
• Collaborate with engineering team members and project managers from other disciplines
• Prepare plans drawings and calculations based on supplied specifications
• Participate in the development of electrical Control and Protection systems including oneline diagrams logic diagrams AC threewire diagrams DC protection and control diagrams wiring drawings device connection drawings assembly drawings material lists and specifications for the manufacture and site installation of Control and Protection panels.
• Participate in the design of AC and DC power systems including singleline diagrams AC and DC load calculations distribution diagrams connection drawings for chargers batteries inverters etc.
• Participate in site surveys (substations and power plants)
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines: switchgear civil mechanical and building to develop optimized and advanced substation and power plant system design solutions.
• Ability to perform sporadic site work when the opportunity arises (startup or monitoring)

Qualifications :

• University Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Member of lOrdre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ) or eligible to register
• More than five (5) years relevant experience
• Knowledge of protection and control principles and philosophies is an asset
• Experience in electrical systems design is an asset
• Experience using AutoCAD software is an asset
• Fluency in spoken and written French
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)
• Autonomous resourceful and a team player
