The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is a pivotal leadership role championing the organizations enterprise architecture and datadriven evolution. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of both enterprise architecture and data management / analytics principles. The CDO will spearhead the development and execution of the data and analytics strategy implementation projects and ongoing data governance practices that aligns seamlessly with the organizations overarching goals and objectives.
Job Duties:
Establish a comprehensive enterprise architecture and data governance framework that defines clear roles responsibilities and processes for managing the organizations information systems and data assets.
Develop and enforce robust data policies and standards that ensure data quality integrity and security across all departments data owners and stakeholders.
Champion data literacy initiatives to empower employees to make informed datadriven decisions that drive business growth.
Implement data anonymization and encryption techniques to safeguard sensitive information and comply with privacy regulations.
Leverage advanced analytics tools and techniques to unlock the full potential of the organizations data generating actionable insights that inform strategic decisionmaking.
Stay abreast of evolving data protection laws and regulations ensuring that the organizations data practices remain compliant and ethical.
Foster a strong securityconscious culture within the IT department implementing stringent measures to protect the organizations critical data and systems.
Cultivate strategic partnerships with external vendors and service providers to augment the organizations internal IT capabilities.
Qualifications :
An advanced degree (e.g. MBA MS) in a relevant field such as computer science information systems or data science is highly desirable.
Certificate or Degree in Data Science or related studies
Additional Information :
Job Experience/ Knowledge
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in senior IT leadership roles especially in data management roles.
A deep understanding of enterprise architecture data governance principles methodologies and tools with a solid track record in designing and implementing effective data management programs.
Indepth knowledge of current and emerging IT trends technologies and best practices with a proven ability to apply them in a practical context.
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies that drive tangible outcomes.
Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
