Job Summary:
The Mechanical Installation Engineer in the Water Treatment Industry is responsible for
overseeing the installation commissioning and testing of mechanical systems and
equipment used in water treatment facilities. The role requires ensuring that installations are performed efficiently safely and in accordance with design specifications and industry
standards.
Experience :
- 1215 years of experience in mechanical installation preferably in the water treatment or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and related mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards such as ASME API and relevant safety regulations.
- Handson experience with piping systems pumps filtration units and rotating equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Proficiency with installation tools and software such as AutoCAD and MS Project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation Supervision:
- Oversee the installation of mechanical systems including pumps valves piping and filtration equipment.
- Ensure that all mechanical installations meet design specifications safety codes and project requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of installation tasks.
2. Technical Support:
- Provide technical guidance to installation teams and contractors to resolve issues related to equipment installation.
- Perform inspections and verify that installations are completed according to project drawings and quality standards.
- Address any technical discrepancies or field modifications required during installation.
3. Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with design engineers civil and electrical engineers and other project stakeholders to coordinate mechanical installation with other disciplines.
- Maintain close communication with the project management team to ensure installations are on track with the overall project timeline and budget.
- Prepare installation reports maintain detailed logs of installation activities and document changes or deviations from the design.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
